This was erotic and shivery at the same time. I loved the contrast between the cosy, safe, domestic first section, as Sean relaxes into his comfortable Cornish cottage with the cleaning lady, shopping lists, pasties, walks on the beach and friendly labradors and what happens later.

The line that marks the boundary for me is :

Far above him in the tower room, walls all glass like inside a lighthouse, the binoculars were pointed at Sean's slowly disappearing back. which sends chills down my spine.

After that, Sean is drawn into that highly charged sexual adventure and the last section, in which the mystery deepens, is masterful. Really enjoyable!
