You've completely surprised me, madame! I could never have predicted that a little snippet of Doris Day would result in such a fascinating fic! I'm simply bowled right over. ♥
I loved the slow reveal of Sean's feelings in particular, but also the details and events in general. It was very much like a long, slow dance. ^_^ The whole thing has such a delicate, melancholy feel that rolls over you in waves. I love how the two of them seem to be in each other's orbit, circling for so long, but never quite touching until things start to settle towards the end. And oh, I love both their inner turmoils, and how even though they're broken, they're obviously going to prop each other up and be each other's force for healing.
I really, really liked the way the tentativeness, the reluctance flowed back and forth between them, instead of one of them being certain and the other the careful one. I loved all the wonderful details that made this story so, so vivid; it was all so clear and real.
And my goodness, the sex was lovely and sweet and hot all at once! This story is gorgeous, in so many ways. I keep wanting to pull out lines to quote, but if I did that, I'd end up quoting the whole back at you. I adored every bit of it, from the parts that made me sad to the ones that made me laugh out loud. And I know it's just a little thing, but I loved the subtitles, and I really loved how "Sean" and "Viggo" were colour-coded to match their eyes. *G* I thought that was a great touch for an already wonderful fic. Thank you so, so much! ♥ I love it! *hugs tight*
