I was stumbling from “perhaps” to “perhaps” in a whirlwind of hopes and fears. These two were fighting great battles as you mentioned in the outside world as on the inside.
I am only glad that finally they did not only survived the war they had been sent to but also defeated their inner daemons to find peace out- and inside.
A gem of a story worth to be revisited often.
