So lovely. My heart ached for Viggo's loneliness in the beginning, so I was delighted that he found mysterious Sean right away. You painted Sean's otherworldliness [is that a word?] well, while still maintaining his lovely, familiar details, and the direct simplicity of his speech was very fairytale-esque indeed.
He never, ever wished that he had not found Sean and let him into his life, because he would not have missed a moment of their love for all the world, but his loss made that winter the bitterest and bleakest of his exile So sad. :(
I read the rest of the story breathlessly. So imaginative, Sean blossoming and changing with the seasons, and I knew Viggo would have to grow old, but so glad that Sean had a solution, bittersweet though it was. I grew teary-eyed. What a lovely, graceful tale this is. Thank you so very much.
