There is a voice, a timeless voice, to fairy tales that is unmistakable and difficult to fake. This is a powerful tale, filled with love and hope and if, in the end, it might be thought to end sadly, it does not really because the tears are as much in gladness that they ended their days together in the midst of Nature which had sustained them both, as sorrow that they had to leave their cottage and the press of flesh, the warmth of encircling arms.
