Order is Overrated

Prompt(s): #16: galumph, "the burst of life in the back of the throat" and a picture of a workshop
Disclaimer: All make-believe and not written for financial gain

Sean's workshop is sacrosanct. It's his haven, where he relaxes by making bird boxes and other things that take his fancy. He keeps it firmly in order, in contrast to Viggo's chaotic studio, 'a place for everything and everything in its place', as his Nan would say.

He loves Viggo, but hates the way that he sometimes breaks the rules and comes galumphing in like a whirlwind, full of enthusiasm and energy, sweeping tools from the workbench to spread out something he wants to share with Sean. Out go order and peace.

And yet he loves the fact that after all these years, Viggo still wants to show him things that give him pleasure. Even better, sometimes it is Viggo who is spread out on the workbench while Sean thrusts into him relentlessly, or kneels in the dust while Sean spills himself in Viggo's mouth.

Sean loves the way Viggo's body arches beneath him in ecstasy and revels in his cry of joy at the burst of life in the back of the throat.

Afterwards, when they lie, sweaty and entangled, sated and safe, amid the mess on the bench or the floor, Sean reflects that order is often overrated.

Such a great use of the prompt and a lovely ficlet. That last line is brilliant!

Thank you. *Hugs*

I love you fic and all, but if Sean, who is Aries just like me and only one day younger is of the orderly kind, I would be very much astonished. For I rule after “there is order in every chaos”. ;D

Thank you. It seems to be one of the conventions of VigBean that generally Sean is the orderly, tidy one and Viggo the chaotic, bohemian one. It is how I see thwm in my fantasy world anyhow.:D

BTW, my husband is also Aries, 16 April, and he is very organized.

You’re quite right - I am too, but only if I must. *winks and chuckles*

I love how vibrant this feels - joyful and enthusiastic, which I suppose fits both their relationship as well as the things they create. Thanks for sharing!

It begins and ends in reflection, but in between is desire and curiosity and laughter and love...great fun. thanks for sharing.

you have captured many contrasts (as well as similarities) between the two men all in one short fic. for all that there is some degree of messiness (they are men after all!), that in itself is, as you said, sacrosanct.

Thank you. :D

Aw, I loved that! I can see Sean having a place that is absolutely sacrosanct, and his patience dwindling when bloody hippie Viggo comes in upsetting everything. But love conquers all, and if the workshop can be used as a waystation to understanding as well as smoking hot sex, then all the better. Wonderful stuff. :D

Thank you. I am always in favour of smoking hot sex! :D

I love how you paint the picture of Viggo "galumphing in like a whirlwind". What a great phrase! Completely captures that feeling of having someone burst clumsily and willfully into your thoughts, driving you crazy as much as they make you smile. I absolutely love this.

Thank you. The fact that it pleases you pleases me very much. :D

Delightful, one can picture Sean pottering tidily around his workshop then Viggos enters full of mad enthusiasm and whirls Sean off into a world of sensory pleasures and delight. Bliss. Many thanks
