I keep forgetting to pop in and remind everyone that round one roulette fics may now be posted outside of the comm wherever you'd like to share the VigBean love. :-)

July 24 is the deadline for the exchange and round two of the roulette, a little over ten days away. If you're anticipating any difficulty meeting the deadline, please let me know right away.

Last year after the exchange was finished I had thought about posting a prompt table every couple of months and ended up not doing anything. *g* But I've been thinking of trying to do a "roulette" thing but open to all of LotR and not just VigBean since I'd love to see more fic generated from a lot of different pairings. I guess this is just a long-winded way of saying that I hope to do something at least a couple of times during the year but I'm not sure how it's going to happen yet. And unless something dramatic changes in my life, I definitely plan to have another exchange next year which will include the drabble/flash fiction roulette again.

All that being said, if you'd like to write something for one of the current prompts (http://community.livejournal.com/wordsontongue/780.html?format=light) that would be great. The deadline for submitting fics is the 24th but I won't be posting until the end of the month so if you needed a little extra time that would be fine. Since this would be kind of "outside" the regular sign-ups (you're not picking numbers blind but selecting the prompts you like) we can let the beta go for now. I skim through everything for basic proofreading catches before they get posted so I might catch a few things that way.

And just in case it's not still on the current post, the roulette fics can be anywhere from 100 - 1000 words but no more.
