He's at the end of the dock, toes trailing in the water. He is sad and rightfully, understandably, so. He has slipped away in himself and I am worrying myself sick with wanting to see that spark in his eyes and to hear his mad laugh. The other side of his pain is far across a dark gulf and I can only be there to offer whatever I can. I settle beside him and look straight ahead. There's no light in those blue eyes and no silly cackle but his hand slides near and he takes mine in his own.

well he's been away from me a long time and that'll give anyone the blues (yeah, right!)... ;-) i'm not sure either but foxrafer gives such incredibly evocative prompts that they just lead you wherever they go, don't they? thank you so much for your feedback! how are your plans going?

Do you mean my wordsontongue plans, or my RL ones? The former, er, slowly. The latter... *snort* Also slowly. I just finished filling out/sending off the last bit of intensive paperwork I should have to tackle before Sept. I hope. Fingers crossed.
