Iraq Somewhere...

Andy squats in the dark filthy cell, cold, near naked, thirsty, bruised, bloody. He doesn't know how long he's been there, he only knows it's daytime by the murmurous mumblings of the pigeons outside the shuttered pinhole of a window.

He disgusts himself for wishing he could see Viggo again; his mates on the parade ground, at a footie match, slogging weary, mud-caked, back from assault courses.

Those remembered faces streaming across... His gaze unfocussed, knees drawn up, hiding... hiding... Does he pray? To Whom...?

"Please, don't make me show them again - they know I'm not circumcised... they can SEE...."

Its a horrid story of a soldier captured in Irag and being tortured for info. Bean played the Soldier and he was being so humiliated in proving he wasn't from Israel and the Mossad! I think in those situations you grab on to anything that stops you just cracking up.

A lot of power in these few lines - a man both strengthened and almost driven to despair by what he misses and how that could be used as a weapon against him.

My poor boy - all cold and wet and dirty. And being so humiliated... awful!

I could only SEE Beany as Andy - I read the book but somehow it didn't resonate as did B2Zero. Really excellent film - all the LITTLE touches - so personal!.

Very powerful and upsetting. I find parts of B2Zero too painful to watch.

I've never seen the film, but this is powerful and dark. Nicely done.

You show the horrors of war really well in this.
